Christmas Day 2011

Thanks to my wonderful, stupendous, dedicated, loving, and brilliant husband, I have pictures to show you tonight.  After restarting the computer five times today and having Elements shut down on me more times then I can count, my amazing husband took time to fix it all up for me first thing this evening.  He must love me!!!

Anyway, Christmas day we spent as a "Korthuis" family and had a blast with just the eight of us.  It's become tradition that we eat a big meal around one, the boys take naps, we open presents in the afternoon and spend the evening eating suya and munchies for supper.  It's a wonderfully laid back time of enjoying family.

Here are some of the more fun pictures from the day:

Playing Mario Wii during nap time.

Dutifully listening/looking, but really not quite sure what to think...

...but all it took was a trial run outside and HE...WAS...HOOKED!!

Andrew had this gift coming...we'll just leave it at that.  He went from this size...

...to this size with several well-packaged/taped boxes in between.  For those of you who know him,
he wasn't even able to sniff out the chocolate to give you an idea.

Brandon was my helper with wrapping presents this year and he said Grandma's present
had to be wrapped in Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck paper because she had Mickey Mouse
and Donald Duck movies at her house.  ;)

Micah was his normal observant self.

Cheryl's present from Andrew was the fun series this year.  She unwrapped one box and there was a
nicely wrapped box inside.  She had to wait another round before being allowed to open
the next box, only to find yet another wrapped box...

"Really, another one?!?"

Beginning to understand what was really inside.

It was even worth a kiss!

Her very own kindle...for textbooks ;0
(See Brandon?  "It's a "puter" mom.)

Motorcycle buddies?

Micah's fun bouncy ball.  (By the way, either he or Brandon had killed the flashing light
inside within two days, but well worth the fun. :))

Bryan and Andrew got remote control cars.  See Micah's face?  He was fascinated!  Brandon ran for a corner.

They did somersaults and everything.

The next pictures are my favorite from the whole day.  It's such a blessing for us to see our boy's enjoying and being enjoyed by their aunts and uncles.

It's been so much fun having so many new books in the house, for all of us!  ;)
Blessings on your evening.
