Brandon's 6-year-old Pictures

Wednesday evening we had a break in the rain so we quick went out to Boulevard after supper to finally get Brandon's 6-year-old pictures taken.  He is going through some tough transitions right now which made taking his pictures rather a challenge.  I took over 400 pictures that evening, but did get some nice ones in the mix.  Bryan came along and helped get him laughing and smiling naturally which really helped!

Applesauce

Yup, we made applesauce, and more applesauce, and more applesauce.  I made applesauce for 14.5 hours last week Thursday.  Without my kitchen aid attachment, the boy's and Bryan's help it would have been much, much longer.  How much did we make?  LOTS!  Good the thing the boys love applesauce.

Thankful for an abundant harvest, a freezer full of applesauce, and the ability to make it.

Labor Day Weekend

On Saturday of Labor Day weekend, I took pictures of this crazy fun family:

And afterwards we headed out to the cabin they were staying at on Whatcom Lake.  We had such a fun evening hanging out and trying new things.

Ha ha Eric got pushed in the lake after the final pictures.  ;)

Raymond was a great driver, giving the boys rides in the kayak and boat.  Sam was the gas station.

Can you find Bryan?  We were sure he had decided to paddle off into the sunset.

He did finally make it back...

Brandon's 6th Birthday!

Did we ever celebrate Brandon turning 6!  It was a big year for him.  His first day of Kindergarten was on his birthday and he was a pretty excited little boy.

We had the family over for cake and ice cream the next day to continue celebrating.

 

 

His second day of kindergarten he rode the bus for the first time.  He only has about a 30 minute ride in the morning, but he is on the bus for an hour in the afternoon.  He hasn't complained about it yet, so I'm not saying anything about it at this point.

A week and a half later we had a birthday party with his friends.  Haven't gotten to those pictures yet, but they're coming soon.
