Reflections Writer

Hi and welcome to Reflections on Edgewater.  When I read other people's blogs I like to know more about who they are and where they came from.  So here's my background as the writer of this blog.

My name is Sara, Honey, Mommy, Mom, Honey Bunches, She Who Walks Her Horse (long story), Little Mook (Little Mom), and Little Sis.  (Ask me sometime and I'll explain the origins of my varied nicknames.)  I am deeply in love with God, my husband and my children.  Being a stay-at-home mom was the best decision my husband and I made when we decided to start having kids.

I have come from around the world.  Born and raised in West Africa, I moved to Sioux Center, Iowa for college when I was 18.  There I met and fell in love with my husband Bryan and we were married four years later in Washington state.  We now live in a tiny town in northwest Washington where we live on a street called Edgewater with our two little boys.

Reflecting is one of my favorite pasttimes.  I reflect on many different thoughts. I reflect on history by reading.  I reflect on memories by scrapbooking.  I reflect on my husband and two boy's appetites (and how satisfying it is to take individual ingredients and make them turn into delicious eatables) while baking and cooking.  And I always (well, almost always) have a camera ready to reflect the moments as they come.  This blog is simply another outlet to reflect and be able to share those reflections, whether in word or picture, with my family and friends.  And most importantly, glorify God in sharing the many blessings he gives us every day--the biggest being grace!

With that, I hope you enjoy reading.  And please leave comments to let me know what your reflections are as well.

Have a great day!
