Christmas Eve Day

WARNING: Long post with lots of pictures!  (Sorry the focus is really off on some of them--I was messing around with settings and experimenting.)

The day started with some quality Auntie Stacey time while Uncle Aaron ran a few loads
for the farm.

Having a serious conversation with Auntie Stacey--well, serious for Brandon!  :)

Then we went to my grandparents home for coffee and lunch.

Grandma had a moment of weakness and bought Brandon a book of Thomas and Friends puzzles.

Hanging out with great-Grandma.

Grandpa time!

We all love it that Grandma wants to feed Micah!

Then it was back to Uncle Aaron and Auntie Stacey to ride horse.  Brandon wasn't so sure about it at first.

But he warmed up to it pretty quickly!

Hanging out and talking while taking turns riding the horse for those who wanted to.

Lots of fun play time.

Capturing the capturers!

More play time.

Riding with Grandpa.

"She's a little HOT."

Riding with Mommy.

Micah's turn.

Riding with Uncle Aaron.

Because she was "a little hot", Uncle Aaron took Almira for a run, all the while chasing his dog Albarka.

My brother was born to ride horse!  Love this shot of him.

I don't like dogs very much, but Albarka is one of the most beautiful dogs I've ever seen.

Brandon had a bout of croup right before we left for Colorado and usually during the winter
months he coughs non-stop while running.  I was a little nervous about him running here...he
coughed a couple times and then didn't cough the rest of the visit, thanks to drier air I'm sure.

Checking out the horses.

Such a cowboy!

See the hole?!?  Aaron HATES throwing clothes/hats away.  Dad was teasing him.

I love Aaron's wife--she threw that hat away without a second thought and told him
he'd get over it and to use one of his other hats.  He didn't like that so much!  She
held her ground though!

Consoling a "heart-broken" Aaron after she threw his hat away.  :)

Then it was nap time for the boys and Dad, Mom, Aaron, Stacey and I went for a walk/bike ride.
I think Dad looks like such a Scandenavian here.

And where there's something to fix, Dad is there...

The sunset was amazing that night!

After our walk we made/ate supper, went to Christmas Eve service and then opened presents.  Opening presents post will be another day.

Have a wonderful evening!
