Don and Bryan flew home at 5:30am and were at work by 8am. Andrew headed out the door to work, but Cheryl had the day off--another reason we decided to stay an extra day. In the morning we went shopping and after nap time we of course went swimming again. It was sure providential that we stayed an extra day, simply because both Brandon and Micah became so much more confident in the water that day.
Brandon "drove" the kick board fast back and forth for a long time. |
We convinced him to jump into the water, if I caught him. |
By the end of the afternoon, he was jumping in without anyone standing there to catch him. |
He was confident to swim with just his swimmies on. |
Micah finally relaxed and loved splashing around. |
And Auntie Cheryl gave each boy special attention throughout the day. |
It was the perfect way to end an amazing weekend!
We were on the road at 8:35 Wednesday morning, to drive the six hour return trip. At lunch time Don's predicion was that we would be home by 3:15. He was wrong. We drove into our driveway at 3:18. Sheesh--it never ceases to amaze me how closely he can predict anything with numbers!
Have a wonderful rest of your week. I have strawberry jam and park to attend to tomorrow. Life is getting back to normal.
